‘THIS CITY IS OURS’: TITLE DESIGN

Title design for BBC crime drama, ‘This City Is Ours’. Directed by Saul Dibb, written by Stephen Butchard and produced by Simon Maloney. April 2025.

We recut a classic serif font to evoke the rich history and grandeur of Liverpool, where the drama was set. Extra-wide kerning enhanced this sense of scale and we added a textured, powder-like effect over and around each letterform to subtly allude to the drama’s criminal underworld subject matter.
